At Kuhlman Electric, we don't just hire employees; we build elite teams. As an Apprentice Level 1, you will be the backbone of our field operations, supporting our Journeymen on high-quality residential installs while learning the trade in a professional, fast-paced environment.

Why Top Apprentices Choose Kuhlman:

  • Execute Installs: Assist in performing residential installations (panel upgrades, EV chargers, lighting retrofits, etc.) with precision and cleanliness.
  • Site Management: Maintain a "Kuhlman" quality job site. This includes wearing booties in homes, vacuuming debris, and removing all trash at the completion of every job.
  • Logistics & Efficiency: Manage truck stock and organization to ensure the team is always ready for the next installation.
  • Time Management: Utilize our field software to accurately log travel and work hours.
  • Professionalism: Be the face of the company. Provide respectful, professional communication with customers, co-workers, and vendors.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Education: Completion of 75 hours or more of an accredited Electrical school program.
  • Experience: 6 months or more of residential electrical work experience with a good understanding of NEC code.
  • Residential Skills: Familiarity with "old work" environments—fishing wires, retrofitting, and troubleshooting existing homes.
  • Tools & Tech: Possession of basic hand tools and a smartphone to operate our field software.
  • Reliability: You show up ready to work, follow the schedule (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM), and take pride in meeting project deadlines.
